Had an easy day at work today. Getting ready for a big meeting in a couple of weeks. I'm getting conflicting information on what I need to bring to the meeting. Can't make any progress if I'm spinning my wheels. I will have to say, that it's a good time to be employed. I have a close friend who is walking the employment tightrope, and met another guy just tonight who is looking for a job. These are intelligent, professional people. Why should it be so hard sometimes to find a job??? I guess it just is. Can't be the mid 90's forever.
Looking for some good sites to teach myself some Spanish. The Hispanic population is growing significantly in our state, and I would like to be able to communicate. We have a couple families in our church that are Hispanic. The kids speak English very well. Mom and Dad are still struggling a bit. Thought it might make their lives a little easier if they didn't have to translate everything in their heads.
I' ve been to France and done that translation thing. It gives me a headache very quickly. For some reason, just talking very loudly doesn't help. B-) I'll just have to keep trying.
Vacation coming up next week. That should be a lot of fun. We're going camping in northern Iowa. Should make for cooler nights around the camp fire. And I'm hoping the there will still be some sweet corn available. In case you haven't ever had fresh Iowa sweet corn, you don't know what you're missing!
The one thing I would have to add, is how easy this whole process is. I can see how it gets to be adicting.

Well, here goes my first stab at blogging. I'm hoping to learn more about RSS through this whole process, but I have start somewhere, so here I am.
Missed Gnomedex, that's a bummer, since I live in Iowa. Couldn't be much closer. Will have to settle for second hand reports from other bloggers and reading the Lockergnome pages.
FWIW, I do know one of the staffers at LG. I went to school with Lori Lockwood. I 'll have to post a yearbook photo. Will learn how to do that later.
